Commercer processes data solely to operate the platform. We do not sell, rent, or trade user data. Your data exists to power your workflows — nothing else.

Account Data — name, email address, and organization details provided during registration.
Platform Data — product data, store data, and associated metadata (tags, attributes, structure) that you create or import into Commercer.
Usage Data — actions performed within the platform, job execution logs, and AI feature usage. This data is used for platform operation and improvement, not for advertising or profiling.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use collected data to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the platform
- Execute product transformations and store updates
- Provide customer support
- Ensure system integrity and security
- Generate aggregated, anonymized usage analytics
We do not use your product data or store data for any purpose other than delivering the service you requested.
4. Third-Party Integrations
Commercer connects to external platforms (e.g. Shopify) at your direction. When you connect a store:
- We access only the data required for functionality (product import, update execution)
- You authorize this access explicitly during setup
- You may disconnect integrations at any time, revoking our access
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party platforms. Review their policies independently.
5. Data Storage & Security
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS)
- Access is restricted via role-based permissions
- Organization-level data isolation is enforced
- All actions are logged and traceable
- Infrastructure is continuously monitored and regularly patched

6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
Upon account deletion:
- Your data is removed within a reasonable timeframe
- Some logs may be retained for legal, security, or compliance reasons
- Cached or backup data is purged according to our retention schedule

When you use AI features:
- Your product data is processed to generate outputs (titles, descriptions, etc.)
- AI inputs and outputs are not used to train models
- AI processing is governed by the AI Credit Policy

- Delete — request removal of your data
- Disconnect — revoke access to any connected integration
